Detour (1945)

Starring:  Tom Neal, Ann Savage, Claudia Drake

Directed By:  Edgar G. Ulmer

The Plot:  Chance events trap hitch-hiker Al Roberts in a tightening net of film noir trouble.

Comments:  Really good cynical low-budget film noir. The main character (who’s also the narrator) seems to be the unluckiest guy in the world, until you realize he might be lying about everything. Good movie, if you are into this genre.
